Greenland Stargate Initiative

Upon researching as to why Greenland is being so heavily sought after I came across the Greenland Stargate Initiative. This Initiative was formed in 2017 as a means to justify research and usage of Stargate portals for the betterment of scientific research for countries like China , Russia and the United States. Mind you these are three countries always trying to one up each other. Where does this leave the citizens of Greenland ? Have these countries been looking for Stargate portals before ? How does Maui or L.A. fit into this category? What can we do as a collective?
